The jailbreak of iOS, also called unlock iOS, unlocking or unsealing is a process for turning devices running the mobile operating system from Apple iOS (such as the iPad, iPhone, iPod touch, and more recently Apple TV) to get full access to unlock all the features of the operating system, eliminating restrictions and safety posed by Apple. Once unbridled iOS, users are able to download additional applications, extensions and themes that are not offered on the official application store Apple App Store via installers such as Cydia. In December 2013, hackers evasi0n to make available a version of their 7 jailbreak tool for the surprise to unlock all devices with iOS 7. Apple reacts to this jailbreak and fills the gaps with IOS 7.1 .

                                                 

In June 2014, a team of little known Chinese hacker publishes Pangu, a tool to jailbreak iOS 7.1 through version 7.1.2. The team Pangu continued to operate by delivering a jailbreak for iOS 8 to iOS 8.1. Another Chinese team Taig releases in November 2014, IOS 8.1 to IOS 8.1.2 by releasing a tool "taig jailbreak" operating only on Windows but by announcing the development of a Mac version.

In June 2015, version 2.0.0 Taïg that supports the iOS 8.1.3 jailbreak, 8.2 and 8.3.

In addition to the jailbreak previous versions, Taïg launches new jailbreak, but this time to version 8.4 of iOS, including Apple Music, June 30, 2015.

October 14, 2015, China Team, Pangu, launches untethered jailbreak tool for iOS 9.1 and iOS 9.0,9.0.1,9.0.2 available on windows and mac.

After more than a year without jailbreak iOS recent versions, the Pangu team announces the release of its new tool for versions ranging from 9.2 to 9.3.3. and only for devices boasting a 64-bit processor. Right now, the tool is only available in China via the PP25 Application
