4G is not yet fully deployed the 5G is already on everyone's lips. The opportunity for us to look to the promises of the future broadband network.

While finding a 4G signal always falls lucky, particularly outside urban areas and indoors, manufacturers, researchers, governments, institutions and operators already think the standard of tomorrow: the 5G.

The development of 5G is still in its infancy, but it does not prevent the various market rent of the exceptional potential of the next generation of mobile networks. We talk for example rates exceeding 10 Gbit / s, latencies under a millisecond and lasts up to several days or even years for the most efficient appliances.

It takes about ten years between each mobile telecommunications standard generation. The first commercial mobile network was launched in 1979 in Japan by NTT (Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation). He was closely followed in Europe by NMT (Nordic Mobile Telephone), a mobile network used primarily in the North.

At European level, the CEPT (European Conference of Postal and Telecommunications Administrations) has led to the establishment of a global standard. And in 1991, the GSM standard developed by ETSI (European Telecommunications Standards Institute), which starts to be deployed, it is called 2G network. The main difference between the second and first generation is the transition from analog to digital.

Later generations had the ambition to improve speed to support the increasing use of mobile Internet. This is partly the case for 3G and it is even more for 4G - when it is available - since it allows data rates up to 300 Mbit / s, according to operators and the frequencies used.

With such performance, one can legitimately ask the interest to develop - at least now - a new standard. Is that the issue of 5G is not responding to today's problems - those will require financial and logistical efforts by operators to improve their coverage. No, it's for tomorrow's uses what thought the 5G: all uses that will suffer the brunt of the limitations of our infrastructure.

By dint of masterful ad industry that discovers every month "technology that will be used to 5G," one could almost believe it exists already ... far from it! The 5G is years to become a standard, and for now, the industry itself struggling to define it. And because the 5G, it is first a lot of ideas and a promise: to meet the exponential needs of telecommunication.

                      En 2020, tout sera connecté
To understand the widespread eagerness standard around the future, imagine the space of a moment, the state of the technology in 2030. In fifteen years, hundreds of billions of connected objects, autonomous cars, augmented reality and virtual, ever better defined videos will be used daily by billions of people. Such projection is optimistic; who could have imagined fifteen years ago the technological and social revolution brought by the ubiquitous Internet?

The future standard is specifically designed for this enormous increase, led by the idea of creating a network foolproof, who fear neither overcharging nor developments and adaptable to new uses increasingly demanding.
